Born and lived in....

Levi was born on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. And in the circle of life, he also died there. He was a georgous baby, people stopped me constantly to ask if I would be offended if they told me how pretty he was. I was not offended. He was my beautiful beautiful beautiful boy. And he grew up to be my georgous son. He was born in a Leap year, and so only had 4 birthdays in his life. I think he was born with a hammer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other. Anyone who knew him as a baby will tell you he was a born 'fixer.' He loved to carry his sticks, twirling them madly as he paced in a square, writing stories in his mind. He was a story teller. Before he was old enough to write them down, he had me write them down for him. He loved a good story. He lived in Pagosa Springs Colorado for the first 2 years of his life. Then after a brief layover in Florida, moved to Highland County Virginia at about 2 1/2. Many will remember his serious accidents, the 4-wheeler thru the fence, his hand in the cuber. But it was his impulsivity we loved, and he made it thru those crazy years. He spent a year in Florida with his grandparents while his hand was recovering, and spent 1 1/2 years in Calhoun Tennessee learning manners. The most common comment I have ever received about Levi was that he was a most polite well mannered boy. Levi attended many schools. He started at Little Rock in Monterey, VA, then Shenendoah Valley Adventist Elementary for 3 years, Highland Elementary School, then Forest Lake Elementary Educational Center , then CF Richards Jr. Academy for a year, and Advent Home. He started High School at Fletcher Academy, and then Shenendoah Valley Academy, then Lamar High School in Colorado, then back to finish at Highland High School. School was not his favorite thing in life, but his friends at school were. Last year Levi attended Mesa State College in Grand Junction Colorado, and this year he was happiest at The Colorado Film School in the Denver area, where he was proud of his first college A. His love of stories led him to major in film, and I have never seen him more content or happy than in the last few months as he was learning about an industry he loved. His car accident was a single car accident. There were no drugs or alcohol involved. It is determined as 'distracted driving', whether it was eating, or an animal in the road, or just a lack of attention. Levi over-corrected a curve on interstate 70, while driving his sister's car from Rifle to Denver, and lost control of the vehicle. The State Trooper believes he was wearing his seatbelt, but was thrown from the car. They have determined he was not speeding. He was just driving. Like we all do, every day. There is no sadness on earth like this. Our grief is unspeakable, and our hearts will not be healed on this earth. But our Faith is strong, we know that Levi will be restored to us on the resurrection morning. We can only go on because of this hope.
